Donations for Health
Search for needs on the left or submit a need by clicking the link at the bottom of this page.
Donations for Health was designed by the founder of Friends’ Health Connection, Roxanne Black, to cater to patients in need. The program stands on our belief that big things come in small packages and that a small contribution can make a major difference in someone's life.
Through this program, you can post a request totaling $100 or less for a person facing a health challenge.
Possible donors should be aware that they are not required to donate the full amount for needed items. Donors can give any desired amount towards the total need, starting at just $1. It is the help we get from the many different people who band together which enables us to continue reaching out to those in need.
What can $100 buy? It can fulfill the need of parents with a newborn who cannot afford to buy a car seat, a cancer patient undergoing treatment who needs cab fare to and from the hospital, a patient discharged after surgery who needs a warm meal delivered each day during recovery. You’ll find many more things it can do through the requests posted on this site.
Here's how it works:
1. The application must be completed by a healthcare professional or related staff member of a hospital or healthcare facility. We will also accept applications from staff of faith-based, educational, or other nonprofit organization/association. The applicant vouches for the individual's financial need.
2. The request is posted on this web site. If the request is funded, a letter of approval is sent to the applicant.
3. Once the letter of approval has been received, the individual with the health challenge, or the applicant, can purchase the item needed and submit a receipt to FHC. We will then send a check as reimbursement within five business days.
