This request was submitted by
Broadway House for Continuing Care
located in Newark, NJ.
As New Jersey's only specialized HIV/AIDS nursing care facility designed to meet the post-acute needs of
people living with AIDS, the mission of Broadway House for Continuing Care is to provide first class
residential and rehabilitative services to people living with HIV/AIDS.
The vast majority of people treated by Broadway House have been homeless. Nearly 80% of these individuals
do not have any form of identification and cannot afford to pay the fees associated with applying for original
copies of their birth certificates which is essential for receiving services and care once discharged from
Broadway House. By obtaining their original birth certificate, these individuals will receive
services which will help them to establish care keeping them from becoming homeless in the future.
$
25
will help to cover the costs associated with obtaining birth certificates and other identification for individuals
affected by HIV/AIDS who are transitioning from facilities to more permanent housing.
You are welcome to make a donation in any amount.
